Jonesy’s review: This is the vineyards exceptional reserve, we drink it on special occasions and with most of our Sunday Roasts. Make sure you decant this one and leave it for a at least one hour (I know its hard) if possible.

Wine making: The San Zopito is a wine that comes from a late harvest of the grapes, fermented by the yeasts naturally present on the skins, for 20-25 days. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and another 12 months in bottle.

Tasting notes: It is very intense garnet red, consistent. It has a wide range of sweet aromas of wild black cherry, plum, blackberry, black currant, violet, vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, liquorice, pepper with final balsamic notes of menthol and rosemary.

The taste is warm, soft, sapid and notably persistent, excellent correspondence with the aromas already felt in the nose, balanced, harmonious and fine, of excellent taste and long evolution.

Unique wine, inimitable and unforgettable is named in honour of the patron saint of Loreto Aprutino, San Zopito exactly. A native wine even in its name, being Zopito a unique name of Loreto Aprutino.
