ABOUT ‘US’

This is the ‘about us’ bit of my website 

And, guess what? It’s ‘about us.’ No surprises there. But, when I say, ‘about us,’ I mean ‘us’ not me, ‘us.’ That’s because I have a secret to share with you. 

That secret is the most amazing Italian wine I’ve ever tasted. It’s the kind of wine you find (if you’re lucky) on your travels. A rare and precious liquid that locals usually keep for themselves. In this case, not because they’re selfish, but because Torre Raone, the picturesque, boutique vineyard where it’s produced only make it in small batches. I first discovered it 15 years ago on a trip to Abruzzo with my husband, Andrea.

I brought some home and shared it with friends. They loved it as much as I do. Which got me thinking. What if I could start importing it? Now, I’m no wine anorak. I’m a Mum of three, that has made her hobby her job. But, somehow, I managed to arrange a meeting with the producers. And somehow, maybe purely through my passion and enthusiasm for their wonderful product, I convinced them to give me sole UK distribution rights. The full range of Torre Raone wines are available right here on my website. But that’s just between us, right? ;)

Oh, just to add, I’m currently looking to source some equally superb wines from other off the beaten track, boutique Italian producers. Well, the research is the fun bit.
